How we gather information from users
We collect Personal Information from users of our website, usually when they subscribe to e-mail lists or fill out contact forms. In most cases, such information is used to enhance the user’s website experience or to respond to questions about the Measure A campaign. Like most political campaigns, we may use the information we gather for voter education, public outreach and/or get-out-the-vote activities.
All web servers track basic information about their visitors. This information includes, but is not limited to, IP addresses, browser details, timestamps and referring pages. None of this information can personally identify specific visitors to this site. The information is tracked for routine administration and maintenance purposes. When necessary, we may link this information with your Personal Information to enforce compliance with our User Agreement or to protect the rights, safety and/or property of our Web Site, customers or others.
Controlling your privacy
You have the option to change your browser settings to disable cookies if you have privacy concerns. Disabling cookies for all sites is not recommended as it may interfere with your use of some sites. The best option is to disable or enable cookies on a per-site basis. Consult your browser documentation for instructions on how to block cookies and other tracking mechanisms.
How we use your Personal Information
In general, we use Personal Information to enhance our users’ website experience; perform administration and technical support; enable the use of certain services and features available on or through the website; create aggregate information about demographics and usage patterns; and allow delivery — with your permission — of advertisements describing special offers, products and services that may be of interest to you.
Although we make good-faith efforts to store the information we collect in a secure operating environment that is not available to the public and to work with responsible third parties, we cannot guarantee complete security for your information.
